Welcome
to Peninsula Chapter 100 of the Counselors to America's Small Business
(SCORE). We are located in
the offices of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of
Commerce on Enterprise Parkway, which is off of Magruder Blvd.
between I-64 and Hampton Roads Center Parkway in Hampton, Virginia.
Our Chapter assists small businesses in communities located both
on the Peninsula and Middle Peninsula of Hampton Roads. Our membership
includes 15 active volunteers who donate their
time and expertise to help with small business formation, growth
and success in the Hampton Roads region. During our last fiscal
year ending September 30, 2006, our Chapter counseled almost 550
local small business entrepreneurs / owners and provided more than
1,400 hours of service to our local small business community.
Throughout the year we offer several low-cost workshops and seminars on topics of interest to
small business owners and entrepreneurs. Each of these are staffed
and presented by our counselors and other regional professionals.
The cost is minimal and discounts are available for multiple registrations
from the same company.
Nationally SCORE has almost 400 offices
staffed by 11,500 volunteers. In fiscal year 2006 we provided almost
388,000 services and in excess of 1.2 million volunteer hours of
support for small businesses across America. We can increase these
amounts if you volunteer with either the Peninsula Chapter 100 or your local SCORE office.
